I have been having fun over at coolscrapsdigital.com.  I have participated in a couple of their challenges.  One challenge is called scrap for a freebie.  You are given a mini kit (for free) and all that is required is you make a layout and post it in the gallery.  So easy.  Here is my page:

The kit is called Simple Beauty by Jill Scraps. Here is a link to her store.  She has lots of fantastic things!

Check back later I am working on a freebie.  Enjoy the day!

I am hoping to ramp up my activity here and maybe do a little more scrapbooking.  For you that means I may be along with some freebies from time to time.  Today is one of those days.  I am participating in a quick page contest at Coolscraps.  The kit we were assigned to use is by Cocotounette called Oh My.  The colors are very nice and can be used for so many things.  Here is my entry. Happy New Year

Happy New Year

Well – it is another year and I am back with another set of goals.  I have signed up to do 365 again…  This time I have 2 different sites prompting me through it.  I also receive daily email reminders with suggestions of things to photograph.  So – I hope I can do it this year.  What does help, is having an iPhone with a good camera in it.  I should have no excuses.

I am also working on being more organized.  Starting with cooking.  I am really trying to plan my menus ahead of time so I can do my shopping more efficiently and save money in the process.

As a result this blog will be about my digital exploits as well as my cooking challenges.  They often meet in the middle because I sometimes take pictures of what I make.  Well – here is to 2012.  I hope it is a fantastic year for everyone!

Been gone for a while and maybe a different blog?

Been gone for a while and maybe a different blog?

I have been very busy and have not posted anything here for quite some time.  Part of the problem is I have not had time to do any designing.  I have done a lot of scrapbooking.

I have had time to read blogs and I have decided I like quite a few food blogs that are out there.  It really started because I like Kevin & Amanda’s Blog which is where I pick up a lot of free fonts that I use for scrapbooking.  She has a whole section on her blog about food.  She is also a great photographer.  Her blog is filled with photos of food, places and her dogs.

After reading a few of her posts about her adventures in NYC I jumped over to the Picky Palate  and grabbed a grown-up mac & cheese recipe.  I can not wait to try it.

Well that is it for now – if I make a new food blog I will link it here.  Who knows, the weather will start getting colder soon, it may inspire me to do a little designing.  Wish me luck…

Thanksgiving

Hi – I am hoping that everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving.  In these hard times I am very thankful for all I have.  Family, friends and the food on my table.  I wish you all the same!

I stopped by to leave you the calendars I mentioned in my previous post.  I made them 8.5 x 11 that way you could make them and print them at home.  I think they would make a nice gift.  Enjoy!

The downloads are broken into 4 parts (jan-mar, apr-jun, jul-sept, oct-dec)

I see that I have had a few visitors to my blog. That makes me happy. So as a special bonus I have been working on a project. I have created a calendar that is 8 1/2 x 11 printed. You can add your favorite pictures and print. On this stop – I am posting a page for December 09 made with the Gingerbread Christmas Theme. I will be back toward the end of November to post the whole 2010 calendar. If you like this sneak peak – be sure to return.

November ADSD Gingerbread Christmas Blog Train

November ADSD Gingerbread Christmas Blog Train

Hi everyone,

I hope you all survived Halloween!  The weather here was perfect for trick or treating.  We had a beautiful warm breeze which is unsual for this time of year in New England.

Now that it is November it is time to get ready for the upcoming holidays.  They will be here before you know it.  So in that spirit, the designers at ADSD have created a collab kit called Gingerbread Christmas.  Below is my contribution.  I hope you enjoy it.

Mid Month Freebie ADSD QP Blog Train

Mid Month Freebie ADSD QP Blog Train

Well as you may or may not be aware, I live in the New England area.  This morning I was greeted with the first snowfall of the season.  There wasn’t much accumulation, but I don’t take this as a good sign for winter.  We barely had a summer, so to have winter move right in is too much!

Anyway, as promised, I am back to give you another qp from the ADSD Blog Train. For this quick page I used DeliScraps kit.

I hope you enjoy it.  Click on the preview to download.  Come back in November for the next Blog Train – Gingerbread Christmas!

Take care,
